Industry Liasion Officer
At WesTEC, our Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) supports students to confidently transition into their chosen career or study pathway through regular check-ins, personalised guidance, and strong industry connections. Students are assisted with industry placement, course applications for further study, apprenticeships and traineeships (full-time and school-based), UniPrep and University of Southern Queensland early entry pathways, as well as Term 1 TEC Program interviews. The ILO also connects students to industry and job programs, providing support in creating a resume, interview preparation, and access to The Pit Stop, a dedicated support service to help students navigate any challenges along the way.

Graduation
We proudly celebrate the achievements of every student and the hard work they put into reaching their goals. Each year, we host two graduation ceremonies where students are formally recognised for their accomplishments and receive their WesTEC certificate in front of family, friends, and peers. These special events are a chance to reflect on their journey, acknowledge their growth, and celebrate the skills and confidence they have gained as they take the next step toward their future pathways.
